LETTER FROM THE EDITOR
As we celebrate America's Independence next week, we would like to take a moment to recognize and thank our military members and their families for their service and sacrifice, for without you, we would not have the liberty and freedom that we treasure today. As we gather to enjoy parades, barbecues and firework displays on the 4th of July, we will pause to think of those that remain on distant shores and for those that paid the ultimate sacrifice.
On the highways and byways of America, you can spot the familiar sight of U-Haul trucks and car carriers as military families make their summer trek to their new duty station. While this is a fun and exciting time, it is also important to take precautions to keep you, your family and your belongings safe. Check with your insurance company to make sure that the items you carry in your vehicles are covered en route. We have more tips for staying safe during your PCS and would love to hear from you if you have tips that you would like to share with other military families.
If you have rented or sold a home that you have advertised on MilitaryByOwner.com, we would appreciate your assistance in keeping our site up-to-date by changing the status of your ad. If you have any questions or if we can assist you, or you can reach us via email, live chat or phone (866-604-9126). We are happy to be of assistance.
Networking with other military families is the best way to gain knowledge about your new duty station, ask for advice on renting, selling or buying homes and even finding creative ways to entertain kids during a pack out and cross-country trip. One of the best ways to connect is through social media platforms, so if you are on Twitter, Facebook or Pinterest, we would love to have you join in our discussion so that you can help other military families with your vast knowledge of living the military life.
